Hey everybody. Looks the end of another year and thus the end of another journal. It's been a wicked cool year for everybody. ive been talking to a record label and getting the goods together and i realized we did alot of stuff this year. 14 songs have either appeared on film or received airplay this year, and thats just crazy, especially for a little old artist from the capital district! But also during my travels I realized that "Down" made a top 10 list for 2004. You can click here for the results of that top 10 list. Were in pretty good company and I rather enjoy the songs. Curiously, a few bands were missing I thought would make it, but then again 10 is 10, if it was 11 it'd be 11. Right? Hey... have safe and pleasant holiday! I think I'll head down to the Van Dyck on Thursday for the open mic and practice playing piano in front of people. That way, for my next show, I'll be juicy!!

12/22/04
Hey I didn't finish the album, but I didn't die either. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!

12/15/04
I'm back! I saw Shaq twice. I saw him drop 40 on Brendan Haywood. That was hot! You know what's not hot? Coming back, getting off the plane, breathing and instantaneously having your snot freeze! That sucks! Not quite as bad as getting executed! The recording will be completed on Friday, unless there's an accident. Dont get too excited, we still have mix, master and reproduce and that could take months. But at least if I die Saturday, I will have completed my masterpiece before I died. Breathe easy, I probably won't die on saturday! But if I do this will be my last journal entry. Kind of eerie, huh?

12/08/04
I can't seem to get "Fun in the Sun" by The Beach Boys out of my head. Oh yeah, that's right, it's because I'm going to Miami tommorrow, and for those of you not going and staying up here in the freezing cold.... na na na na na na!

See ya next week! Oh yeah and don't try and rob my house, my father will be there and he packs heat.

Another month goes by and Scott's family is begging for the jury to spare his life.

The CD release party/prank went off well. Four new pics are up on the 'gallery' page. We ended up playing Dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd instead of promoting the album, and I didnt even end up bringing any CD's with me cause I forgot. Now that's funny. The whole Head of a Monkey was a great way to incorporate the Head catalog into the Joe Nacco collection. The new album is on it's way and there's alot of optimism. The keyboards and vocals are all that's left to be recorded. Very, very exciting stuff.

I also just received word that the film "Used People" has been completed and will be aired for the first time on Tuesday December 7th. During the film four of my/our songs will accompany certain scenes. These songs are: "Breathe," "Into your arms," "Push you away," & "Inside my room." We'll also be featured on the soundtrack that accompanies the DVD. Pretty cool stuff! As more info comes about the film and how to get a copy, we'll let you know.

That's all for this week. Stay strong!

Looks like Scott Peterson bought himself another week, Ron Artest only had to wait 36 hours for his sentencing. And speaking of Ron Artest....

How exactly do you justify throwing Roy Tarpley out of the NBA for life for doing too much cocaine on his off time, but only suspend Ron Ron for a year for jumping into the crowd and throwing "haymakers" at a guy who still had his beer in his hand. But better yet, how do you suspend Ron Ron for a year, when Vernon Maxwell did the same exact thing and got 10 days?

Funny thing is the league got what they wanted. $12,000,000 in Pacer & Piston money and league interest is sky high, and thats what makes the world go 'round.... $$$$.

In the midst of all this, I didn't even see the new "Allure" CD when I went to pick up the U2 and Gwen Stefani CD yesterday. Which both, by the way are pure crap. Make the smart buy this season and pick up Pearl Jam's greatest hits.

Back to my reality, we'll be at Valentines this Friday and it will undoubtedly be a great time. Were trying a new format out, where I spend most my time jumping from guitar to keyboard where I see fit. the best part, is that none of this will be scripted or rehearsed (if you will). True authentic live performance, no lip synchs and no throwing beers.

See ya there and bring some leftover turkey legs for us. But just hand them to us.

Now there really is something to say. As you all know I hail from Orange County, California. This week California made it's boldest statement to date. And I think it's loud, clear and is echoing throughout the state. Apparently the good people who represent the California judicial system have decided, it's perfectly acceptable to slash up your ex-wife and her new lover, leaving them in a pool of their own blood on a city street, even though theres blood evidence in your car, bedroom and backyard and you have a very long, well documented history of domestic abuse, but.... but.... California draws the line at throwing your current wife and unborn child in the bay. Even if the prosecution has based it's entire case on the fact that you have a very long, well documented history of philandering and nothing else... that kids, is where California draws the line. So I'd like to send a big congrats to California for taking a stand on murder.

In some more pleasant news, WEQX will be playing a song or two this Sunday to promote the CD release party for The Head of a Monkey. That show will be next Friday the 26th at Valentines. It should, as always, be an exciting time. We'd also like to point out that going forward Josh Herzog will be playing bass at the live shows from here on out. Big welcome for Josh!! Josh is also engineering the new album for us at Cattrax Studio. You can find out more about his studio at cattraxrecording.com Vince will be playing full time with realation from here on, as they're releasing a brand new CD you can check out on his website, a link is to the left. Thanks Vince, we wish you the best.

We'll see ya next time! Until then, for all you cheating husbands in California who wish you were single and wouldn't have to pay alimony and child support, let's keep those boats docked, get a divorce and move to Brentwood, OK?

11/10/04
There's so much to talk about this week... OK I lied. No new news. It's really cold in my neck of the woods. Were also nearing the famous "end of the season" CD release party for The Head of the Monkey. A super album with super songs about love, life and everything else. Stay tuned.

11/03/04
Im a day late again. I may just have to start doing this on Thursdays soon. Thursday is my first day off and it gives me a better chance to do it. The pictures from The Saloon and Ambition cafe will be up by days end. Sorry for any delays. I dont have alot to say this week. Ive acquired a keyboard and Im working on transferring alot of songs to piano. This is something I always wanted to do but just never did. I did try a test market on the keyboard at Ambition and it well. It definitely beefs up the solo shows ALOT. So look for that by the next show. And thats all. Its cold!

10/27/04
Sometimes Im on time and sometimes Im not, but at least i dont lip-synch! This is highly disturbing, not cause she got busted, but because most people dont realize this goes on. So many tv performances are lip-synced and sometimes the band isnt even playing. I cant remember the last time I saw a super bowl performance that wasnt a tape. Elton John was right, Madonna lip-synchs, and has been for years. Shes not fooling anyone. Alot of glitches can happen with your voice and your instruments and no one wants to take chances. If you hear a band on tv and they dont sound good, its cause theyre not using a tape.

There are bands and vocalists who can pull this off and of course do, but alot dont, and virually none of the teeny boppers. Gifted singers, under stress and suffering from stage fright, will experience the tightening of their vocal chords and this causes anyone to sing flat or sharp. Think of your last public speech and when you started choking up just speaking, imagine what happens if you tried to sing.

Ashlee Simpson probably doesnt spend alot of time working on her voice, taking care of her body and probably doesnt have alot of performance experience. Being cardiovascularly out of shape, for example, will have an effect on your voice even if your just standing still. I have a wicked strict regimen now as a result of realizing this. A minimum of 5 crucial things must fall in to place in order for you to have complete control of your voice, down to the very last pitch, and thats after God gives you a stellar voice. Cardio, chest strength, proper rest, warming up hours before a show and channeling your nerves and anxiety. I dont mind giving these secrets away cause thats why Im here.

And if anyone wants to ever challenge this or see me prove it, you can catch any show. Any show. I never make excuses and I never come unprepared, but the state of artists and music these days is a joke and youll be hard pressed to find someone other than myself and Christina Aguilera that probably does this.

Ok theres probably a few more besides Joe Nacco and Christina Aguilera, but I just like the sound of that.

Thank you for listening to my rant.

I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to the NYC show. it was a blast and we had alot of fun. The pictures should be up by next Wednesday. I also had a radio interview on 103.9FM last Sunday. I'll have that up on mp3 very shortly. Thanks again.

10/20/04
Hey there. I'm a day late again. I spent most of yesterday buying music equipment for tonights show. This is exciting! New York City. That's it right there, the biggest city in the world. We get to play a 3 hour show, giving us all the time in the world to win the hearts of New York over. I love challenges, steppin up to the big stage. I wish it was MSG or Radio City Music Hall, but The Saloon will do just fine. I hope you all can come down and catch this show. It should be fantastic. Tonight's starting lineup will be myself, Paul Salamone on drums and Josh Herzog on bass.

So speaking of starting lineups, challenges and big games... Damn Yankees. Whats up with that?? I hope the mood is OK in the city. Maybe we'll cheer them up! Peace out kids!!

10/13/04
Another week and I'm on time. Slowly, I'm getting everything corrected and first and foremost, you! How are you? Go tell me on the guestbook. Leave a link to your favorite site!

I've received confirmation that everything will work out, so I can tell you now. I will be contributing 4 songs to an independant film called "Used People," written and directed by Chris Bishop. I havent seen it cause they are still putting it together, but I read the script and seems pretty good. Shortly I will let you know all the outcome.

Updates have been made to the MP3 page, the poll and the shows page. Please check em out!

10/06/04
Well this is a little late and thats a big shame because the reason I'm late is that my computer crashed!! I lost all my files...everything. Any donations can be dropped off at my next show for the lost files fund. So while I have a chance, Im gonna put up a new mp3 from the monkey cd and change the poll. Please have a look & listen and let me know what you think. The song is called "Down" and was a monster hit for my first band HEAD. Paul and I rerecorded it along with other head songs for the highly anticipated album "THE HEAD OF A MONKEY!"

Go visit the MP3 page and download "Down" now for free!! Then take the poll. Also, keep my computer in your prayers and thoughts!

09/29/04
Good afternoon! For those of you who missed the Sacandaga show, you missed another rockin' performance, check the guestbook. Vince proved to be a 'welcome addition' as my father put it. Hopefully we'll be back sometime soon. The pictures will be up shortly.

Back to basics. I'll be performing at Ambition Cafe tomorrow!! First time for everything. Mikey Thomas used to play there and seemed to always do well so I figured I'd give it shot-o-roo. So come out and have some coffee and pie!!...until next week.

09/22/04
Hello children! I guess I sort of mailed this one in!!

This Saturday we'll performing at the Sports Island Pub on Sacandaga Lake. (finally spelled it right, and in here of all places) This is gonna be Vince's debut with us and were all very excited, were really starting to come together and just in time for you, John Q Listener. Come down, you don't want to miss this one, especially if you like water.

I left the poll this week, I'd like to see a few votes before I change it up. So if you haven't voted, please do. It's at the top of the page. See ya Saturday!!

09/15/04
I think it's my mentor's birthday! You know who you are, Happy Birthday!

There's a new poll at the top of the page! I'm gonna try to change it every week as long as I can keep coming up with topics. If anyone has any ideas for questions feel free to ask them on the guestbook. This week's question is "What do you think of 'The Fear'." this song is off The Bored Syndrome. We never played it out but Shawn Kelly plays it on 100.3 during his morning show and gets good response. I rearranged the MP3 page and added it. So take the time and listen to it and vote for what you think! Use your voice. Its good practice for November.

I played the apple farm, and I'm gonna leave it at that. Except to say that I may just head to Hannaford the next time I'm looking for apples!

09/08/04
Paul and I just (12:15pm) got pulled over and ticketed for not wearing our seatbelts!! How exciting! We'd like to thank Rotterdam for making it all possible. We'd like to take the time to let our fans know that we are innocent and we'll be fighting this in court. You'll find out the outcome right here.

I've got an acoustic show this weekend at the apple farm. Woo hoo! I love apples and I love pie!

My right toenail finally grew over the skin. Its so cute.

I dont think there's really anything else to say this week. Take the time to vote! Up on the top of the page there's a new poll. Click on the link and vote!

09/01/04
Well yesterday I saw dead leaves blowing around and that can't be a good sign, no matter where you are. Exactly a week ago, just after I wrote the entry, I went to Collins Park to shoot hoops in my flip flops. Some kids ask me to play and I couldn't resist. So I slipped going for a rebound and sprained my wrist and cut up my knee. You can see the gash on my knee in most the new pics in the gallery. So a little B-ball injury recap for this summer... 2 lost two nails, a broken finger, a sprained wrist and a skinned knee. Not bad. I still played all 3 shows last week and 6 1/2 hours on saturday combined. You know what hurt the worst? Not the wrist, not even my throat, but my candy a$$ little fingers.

To the point at hand, the new pics are up, the mp3 of big break is at the top of the screen in case you missed it. Thanks for continually coming here and reading what i have to say every Wednesday. Peace out brothers and sisters!

Also if you see your pic up on the gallery page and would like for me to write your name or any corection, just say so on the guestbook!

08/25/04
Good week everyone. I've got the first series of pics up from The Boardwalk shows. Which as we all know, this will be the last week I'll be playing there this year. Its been great and Ive met alot of very cool people from all over the Northeast, as you can tell by the pics. There were some cool people I met from Canada and Maine that arent pictured. Its been awesome reaching audiences from these areas without really having to leave town. I think its safe to say that (unless I'm on world tour or die) I'll be back next year.

Were going on Big Break this sunday to promote the new CD. Were all excited and Jason Keller played 'Cant you see' and 'I'm an alcoholic' this past Sunday to hype up this week's show. Jason Irwin from EQX played 'Down' this past Sunday and we'd definitely like to thank both Jason's and station's for their continued support.

Ive added 2 new pages to te site and 2 more links. The first is the 'merch' page. Under this page are directions on how to order our cool stuff! The other is 'radio/tv'. This page is dedicated to the radio stations that are playing our music and also lists any past or upcoming interviews and ways for you to request our songs. This also applies to TV as well. Also check 'the band' page for our new promo picture with Vince.

I'll also be doing the first apple show this weekend before going up to do my last Boardwalk show. This should be a crazy day and anyone who wants to stop by and say hi or throw an apple at me, feel free. Until next week, keep smiling, keep shining, knowing you can always count on me, for sure.

08/18/04
Ladies and Gentlemen: Our new bass player is Vincent Lane. He will also be doing some vocals as well. Vincent Lane is the vocalist/bassist and co-founding member of the popular local band 'reaLation.' Were excited to have him on board and definitely feel like he's gonna be able to provide the band with some extra diversity musically and vocally. To find out more about Vince click the 'reaLation' link to the left or click on 'the band' and see his statement.

We have re-released 'Down' to hype the release of 'The Head of a Monkey.' WEQX has already begun playing 'Down' and hopefully a others will soon follow. I'm gonna hold off putting a few mp3s up for now and ask that if you wanna hear the song to call into WEQX and request the song. Speaking of which, we've pushed back the release date to September 10th to give us more time to promote. We'll still be selling advance copies at the show for those who just can't wait.

There's been so much news lately I haven't really had a chance to talk about my personal life. So here's the latest. In my spare time (which isn't much these days) I've been test marketing a new diet. I call it the 'Nacco diet' also known as the 'anti-atkins' or the '93% all fat diet'. I dont recommend this diet to anyone, however, it consists of mostly pastas and sugars and all the saturated fat you can get your mouth around. Ive been on it for almost 2 months now and have gained a whopping 2 pounds. On this diet you can eat all the chicken wings you'd like and all the snickers you grab at stewarts on your way to a show. The secret is to not eat in the four hours prior to going to sleep and drink all the water you can. I must say, 'it works!'

There is also a new guestbook up, please GO SIGN IT!

08/11/04
Well first off, I'll be announcing our new bassist next week. Were all very excited, so stay tuned for that. Second, the lake george shows have been incredible. At first it seemed weird playing music for people eating dinner and not drinking but after a while i realized they were sober and actually listening. As a result we broke our own record for CD sales in a week. Woo hoo! It was very similar to playing the apple farm in altamont. Speaking of which, I'll be there for two dates real soon. You can check that out on the 'dates' page and there are still 5 more lake george dates if anyone is interested. They've been letting me sample their menu and it really is great food. That goes for the apple farm as well. They have incredible sandwiches.

Be good and we'll speak next week. or I will and you'll read it and laugh, curse or cry....

08/04/04
Saratoga was a blast. Everything went even better than expected, and there are some very exciting pictures up in the gallery. I also wanted to mention that 'the head of the monkey' is not to be confused with the new studio album, with all new songs, that paul and i are working on. That should be out by the years end. We'll let you know how that comes along.

I'll be in Lake George doing some acoustic shows on Thurs & Sat. All those details or on the dates page as well as the next band show. Peace!

07/28/04
Saturday we'll be in Saratoga. I cant name names or tell how but theyll be a few celebrities in the audience that night. We'll be having Josh Herzog sit in on bass for the evening. He owns and operates Cattrax studio. He was also in The Roundbale Conspiracy with Mike Thomas. How exciting! You should come and check this out!

If you go to the 'dates' page youll see Im playing a series of shows next month at The Boardwalk in Lake George. Its a restaurant, not really a bar atmosphere. Should be a fun time as well. And here is the funnest news....

On September 1st we'll be releasing "The head of a monkey". Its a new/old CD. Paul and I have re-recorded our 10 most favorite songs I wrote for the band HEAD. We had always said if we knew this or that we wouldve recorded or played it this way. We'll now we have (fixed all our mistakes) and now we'll finally be releasing it. Alot of people wanted to get their hands on a copy of "im an alcoholic" and soon you will. More details will come in the next month of course.

Moday we broke our own personal record for most people on the site in a day! Y'all have a good week and keep checking back, Ive been updating this very regularly!

07/21/04
More website additions. More pictures in the gallery, two new live mp3s and a new link to the left called "press". The pictures are from valentines and a few other stops. The mp3s are 2 covers. One is the always popular "creep" by radiohead with the whole band (this is the best weve ever done it, musically and vocally). The other is me and Mike Thomas doing a cover of "two of us" by the Beatles at Caffe Lena during the encore. The "press" page features album reviews and the news articles weve received on the band. We scanned all of them after many beers, so theyre crooked.

Now that thats out of the way, the website has been out of control lately. Tons of hits in the last week. For many different reasons, but mostly the exposure of the Capiital News 9 segment has generated unbelievable amounts of attention. So I'd like to publicly thank thank Bridget and the station for the exposure! Also, just in, we'll be playing Saratoga Brew Pub on July 31st. Its the first weekend the track is open and rumor has it Saratoga is mobbed that weekend. There are some other special events going on in the town that weekend, so it should be a good show. You're all wondering how were gonna do this show with just me and Paul. These are the great mysteries.....

Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion....next week!!

One more thing, in response to the new picture on the "band" page... Paul and I do our own stunts and we DO NOT USE PROPS!!

07/14/04
Updates have been made to the "band" page as well as the "gallery" page. The new pics are up from Caffe Lena and CB313's.

And then there was two.....

The JNB is getting an extreme makeover. The rumors on the forum are somewhat accurate. Joe G and Jeff have left the band. Id like to thank them both for their hard work and dedication to this project over the last year. We all accomplished alot together and you'll both be missed.

Paul and I will be heading into the studio to finish the next album while searching for a permanent bass player. Right now the plan is to go with a trio that includes a bassist that can make some singing contributions (a la head). We've targeted a few people and we'll let you know everything as soon as we do.

So this means Valentine's turned out to be our last show together and went very well. Capital news did show up and tomorrow I have to shoot down to the station to finish up the segment and once again Ill let ya know when it will air. I'd also like to take this opportunity to complement the New School Navigator's on their refreshing and unique sound. Alot of the local bands out there just throw together some cheesy version of their favorite band instead of blending their unique influences. They also werent stuffy and handled themselves in a professional way, which is always nice to see. Alot of bands get a tiny ounce of clout and turn into full blown divas. Like that time we demanded a cheese platter for the benefit concert. HAHA! I think you all know what Im talkin about.

Weve got alot of AWESOME footage from the last 3 shows and well be releasing a mixed DVD of those performances. Look for that. Well also be putting some MPEGS and all of our news articles on the site in the very near future. All exciting and all new. Theres more ideas being bounced around and this will be a very productive time for us so stay tuned.

07/07/04
Let's recap first... Joe G and I played Caffe Lena with Mike Thomas. Good time, good showing on the fans' part. Music was good, mike was good and our encore smoked. Mike taped the entire performance and Ill get some on Mp3 soon. Then on Friday paul mike and myself went down to NYC and headlined the acoustic half of CBGB's. It was billed as a Joe Nacco show but turned out somewhat of an acoustic HEAD kind of show with half and half on the songs. went well and we made contact with a guy who had his own record label and he really liked the Im an alcoholic song. We didnt tape that one so youll have to use your imagination or show up next time.

Speaking of next time, were gonna be rocking out valentine's upstairs. Capital 9 news is doing a segment on The Joe Nacco phenomenon and it works out best if we go on first. Which means like 8:30pm. we'll look forward to seeing you there. Gracias.

06/30/04
I read an article about myself in the Saratogian and I realized they took quotes from right here on this journal page. Quite a trip. I guess this is the best place to get the truth. Maybe I should be careful of what i say here (but i wont) and maybe im lucky they didnt scroll down to the threesome story from many moons ago... HA!! Anyways my manager said i should tell those reading this to fill out the "metroland best of" ballot and put Mike Thomas as the best solo musician in the area. It'd be a nice going away present for him. Which brings us to this show. I can feel it coming in the air tonight. This is gonna be an awesome show, if youre reading this, you should come down. or up. I really think it's gonna be the best show we've ever done. and for the price....

OK. Show of hands. How many people didn't get this far because theyre scrolling down trying to find the threesome story??? Joe G., Come to NYC. I'm calling you out!

06/23/04
Hey now! We've got some exciting updates for shows. Like I said last week and they have been finalized. You can check it out on the 'dates' page.

The mighty legend of HEAD has taken yet another blow as we see off our dear friend Mike Thomas who will be relocating to a far away place. This comes just as talks of a reincarnation/reunion of HEAD were beginning to heat up. The details of Mike's departure I will not reveal. I'll just let you know you can click on the link on the left that says 'Mike' and I'm sure he'll post his whereabouts on his website at the proper time. Just as I've always claimed that HEAD is the Menudo of the capital district, it'll be extremely difficult to fill Ricky Martin's shoes. We love you and we'll miss you Mike Thomas!!

I've made a few adjustments to the head page. You can check it out by clicking on the link to the left that says 'head'. I added a little history section of all the past members and their time and place in the band. For those of you unfamiliar with the band in general, go take a gander.

06/16/04
A little breaking news.. me and joe g. will be doing an acoustic show in NYC in july. The particulars are still a little bit cloudy but as soon as I have a 100% I'll let you all know. Were also in the works for a local band show in July as well, once again no 100% yet on the specifics. I dont really have too much to say other than that. For some reason I've had 35 downloads of Pretty Baby over the last 2 weeks, so either people are mistaking for something else or it's word of mouth. I'll never know unless someone tells me but either way it's always a good thing when people hear your music. Hope you enjoy it!

06/09/04
Jillian's was fun and now we got some pictures up from the last 2 shows. Now the focus shifts to promoting the Lena show. This WILL be the biggest show of the year. Mike Thomas is opening and were being part of the Lena history. So if youre gonna catch a show this year....this would be the one. me and Joe G will be at our sharpest and in tip top shape.

In weather news, it's hot. Hotter today than yesterday and hopefully it will just keep getting hotter. We got about 2 1/2 months left of pool time and I gotta make the most of it. It all comes and goes so quickly these days you stop and catch your breath once in a while. I hope you all enjoy the summer. Ill be in touch.....next week.

06/02/04
Another week passes. Lake George was alot of fun and I think I'll stop there. I want to thank all our family and friends for coming out. Also theyll be a few pictures up soon. I'd also like to invite you all to my solo acoustic performance on friday at jillians during happy hour on the deck. It should be a good time. The do alot of promotions so it should go well. Toodles

05/26/04
Well it's the 26th so that means my bread is bad. Tommorow morning i have another radio interview at 8am on 100.3 The Point. Not sure if it's live or tape delayed but either way it's aired on the morning show tommorow so why not tune in. They been playing songs from the bored syndrome all week to promote the lake george show. That gives us 4 radio stations playing our music. Hopefully one day we won't be able to count how many. Things are heading the right direction again and this show on Friday will kick it all off. I'm really excited to see all of you readers at home in Lake George. If not, have a fun weekend whatever you do.

05/19/04
Well it's actually Thursday that I'm writing this. I had to hold off a day for some last minute breaking news..... Today i taped an interview on Cool Rock 95.9 in Glens Falls to promote the 'comeback show'! Had a long chat with Tim about many different things. This time i got to spew off at the mouth about some personal opinions rather than focus entirely on my music. Which is great. I love when people ask for my opinion on things, i can talk all day. Thanks to Tim and everyone at Cool Rock 95.9. They'll also be playing our music and promoting the 'comeback show' all week.

The comeback show has a last minute change in venues. The owners of Pitcher's just bought Sheppard's Cove in Lake George. Thats super news cause they want us to play the bigger venue and ironically that puts us in Lake George for memorial day weekend. WOW!! That should be alot of fun, especially with all the drunk high school kids roaming the streets after the prom. That will be mighty festive!! I hope this prompts some more hardcore fans to make the journey north.

05/12/04
Yippeee!! We hit 5,000 visitors. It took the head site exactly 2 years to the day, we did short a few months. Very proud moment for the Joe Nacco camp. WEQX started playing 'Breathe' in addition to the blue law, i hope your all calling in still and requesting it, or just listening. Our band practices resume friday for the pitchers show. Thats about it. thanks for reading.

05/05/04
The eqx interview was a beautiful experience. I've done alot of radio shows over the years and I gotta admit that was the smoothest. I remember Ellen Z from waking up with the wolf putting mike thomas on the spot by making him sing a nirvana song when we were planning just to jam on a couple songs we wrote. Ah.... the memories. Anyways if you missed it we performed an acoustic version of Lovelight. We got it on MP3 on the site....just look to the top of the page and take a listen. Thanks to Andy and WEQX! I've posted some upcoming shows on the 'dates' page. More will come as were still negotiating carefully. Were just a mere 3 weeks away from our comeback performance. Were excited and I know you're excited! Keep excited!

Yes indeed. Tommorow is the day for eqx. Actually quite excited about that cause i get to speak my mind. Which is always full of so many self centered things. Imagine you have a huge ego and you get a chance to just talk about yourself on the radio??? You'd be excited too! The summer performance dates are beginning to fill up and soon we'll have enough to release the schedule, probably a week or two before the first show. We got some good stuff, a wide variety of different types of performances from solo shows to acoustic duo shows to full band. This will give you a chance to see every aspect of the Nacco this summer. keep it real folks!

04/21/04
Well it's on. I'll be heading into the eqx studio next thursday to tape a segment for the following sunday's show. As far as I know I'll be interviewed and then be playing a few songs on my acoustic guitar. As this nears I'll prolly send out an email or two. As always were still lining up shows for the summer and nothing else is really going on. Enjoy your beverages.

Last Thursday, Joe G and myself hit an open mic and rattled off an acoustic set to sort of shake off the rust. And shake off the rust we did. Playing time is just around the corner and were just as excited as you are. We've got a show later in May with the whole band and that should kick things off for the summer. EQX will continue to play "The blue law" on the local show and sometime I'll be going in to do an interview and play a few acoustic songs as well. As always keep coming back and checking up on the site. Although there has been no other updates, I still update this every week.

04/07/04
Well it's april and this page is growing out of control. I should trim it up but then you'll never know what i was doing 2 Septembers ago... Anywho EQX played "The Blue Law" again on Sunday, I believe were in rotation so thats a great thing. I still encourage people to call in anytime and request the song. I heard a rumor they'd play it on any given night if requested. (802) 362-1027 or go here! Just scroll down and fill in the did we miss one section. We're still getting some airplay for 'Breathe' on 103.1. Thats Sunday nights at 8:30pm. There's not a whole lot going on other than that. So have a good week and we'll see ya around!

03/31/04
OK now here we go. Big news. After many years in the local scene, we finally broke through to eqx. This past sunday night they debuted 'the blue law' on the local show. Which usually means it will continue in rotation for a couple months and hopefully we'll be a regular forever. I encourage everyone to tune in, call in and request our song. It's always a big help. For more info visit weqx.com! Thanks!

I know this one took quite a while but it's nice out and ive been out enjoying the weather as well as jumping jacks. I dont wanna say too much or I wont have anything to say this Wedsnesday because its really monday the 29th that I'm writing this. My apologies, stop back wednesday I'll have some exciting news.

03/17/04
Well it's another new day, full of new and exciting experiences, unless these experiences hinge on seeing the grass. Last thursday I played full court basketball for 3 hours in a t-shirt. Shows you how your luck can change in this town, just like that. Schenectady is the las Vegas of weather. Interesting side note, when i got home from playing basketball, i took my shoes off and my socks were soaked with blood. Apparently I seperated both my big toe nails from the toe and didnt realize it during all the excitement. I'd love to tell you the whole story about how they then became infected and drained but I dont wanna make anyone sick. They have since healed completely because I'm Wolverine-like.

Another issue this brings up is obesity in our country and the lack of super size now at McDonalds. I was playing with kids 10 years younger than me. In case you dont know Im 28. Alot of these kids were falling behind towards the end. I remember when I was 18 playing basketball, I figured I'd be dead by 28, most guys get fat cause your metabolism slows down. Well guess what kids, it doesnt. As a kid your parents have a tendency of feeding you correctly, then you move out and start eating nothing but pizza, fish sticks, ben and jerry's ice cream and who can forget those drunken trips to the Brandywine diner at 3am. This is how we get fat, not because we get older. Everytime I play ball, kids always ask me what college I go to because in their head someone my age can't run up and down the court. Well guess what everyone, you can. You don't slow down or lose a step. I'm just as quick and maybe quicker now than at 18. OK, Im starting to sound like Tony Robbins. And for $10, I'll sell you my workout routine and diet. Just email me and the rest is up to you.

No band news this week.

03/10/04
Well its another nice day out. A nice reminder of whats to come. Hopefully I'll make it off my couch today to enjoy a little bit of it. And I hope you do too. I can think of a time when I was laying by a pool and Id have to jump in every couple minutes just to cool off cause it was so hot. That'll be in about 3 months. I got an old playstation, so i bought some really old used sports games for a couple bucks cause i know ill get bored of it in a week. And who wouldnt want Steve Young for their quarterback anyway. All the players in the NBA game are either couches or announcers. Like Kenny Smith. Hes pretty darn good in my video game and now he just sits there on TNT getting taunted by Charles Barkley who used to play for the Phoenix Suns. A golf game without Tiger Woods??? guess walmart sells the old atari games built in to controllers that hook up to your TV. Thats crazy. My sister called me up to tell me she was playing Freeway. The game where you have to get the chicken to the other side of the street. How fun. And soon we'll be able to go outside and this will all be irrelevant. You might be asking yourself, "Isnt this a music/band website?" The answer is yes. But its my site and I can talk about whatever I want.

Our practicing has been put on hold for a few weeks. We're gonna wait until May to begin playing. More interesting shows are going on and we'd hate to have to come back to anything but a huge show. Once again we'll be releasing our schedule soon. Keep coming back and checking things out. Enjoy the weather.

02/25/04
Good afternoon fans, friends and/or family. The lineup of spring and summer shows are increasing and we'll be releasing the schedule soon. I'm pretty sure we'll be practicing next week and learning the new songs. Get ready for that everyone. Im sure were all rested and ready to go. Rob's been working hard securing shows and I've even been getting my hands a little dirty trying to get show dates secured. A big shout out to cell block six. Peace out.

02/18/04
Since we're much bigger rock stars this year we are in the midst of fielding offers for our summer lineup of shows. We probably wont report anything anytime soon cause we've accepted and canceled some shows already. Were trying to get the best shows possible so we dont waste anytime playing dive bars on a summer night that could be better spent camping or skinny dipping. Sounds nice, huh? I like to talk so I'll keep coming online and posting something. Some fodder to keep your attention. I'm planning a spring trip to Florida. It's nice down there this time of year. If anyone has any ideas for cheap airline tickets feel free to email me. I've wrote more songs and we'll be deciding what to do with them when we resume practicing shortly. Be strong kids.

02/11/04
Well its the time of the year where i work my tail off, build a nest egg and chill out for the rest of the year. So I've been pretty beat up for the last 2 weeks. But soon I'll be free again just in time to get a tan. The band will be resuming shortly and as always... I'll keep ya posted.

02/04/04
So here we are. My writing for the rest of the album is coming along quickly. So I'm sure we'l be headed to the studio soon. We also only have a couple more weeks of rest until we resume playing. How exciting. Be excitied. WE'll see ya all soon.

01/28/04
Obviously there aint much news this week. And you dont need to be a meteorologist to see that we had yet another storm. You also dont need to run outside naked to realize its cold. Can I get a little humidity. Amen. Ive been hanging out writing songs and planning and preparing for our triumphant return in the Spring. Surprisingly weve had alot of show offers. Right now it must be pretty tough to book bands. Who'd wanna drag their stuff out in this cold. I guess some could question my love of the game. You could call me lazy. I did go out and I caught C. Jane Run's CD release party at Northern Lights. Good show. Savage Freedom rocks. I sat there in my jacket, hat and gloves the entire night. Northern Lights must keep their heat on around 45 degrees. It pained me to think of carrying all our equipment in and out with no way to heat up. Shame, shame, shame. Ive been there in the summer and saw Slash's snakepit with no AC. It was 90 and humid. Another stellar night. The metroland should start a new best of category. Best climate at a venue.

I think there's more exciting sports news than anything this week. The Knicks moved into 8th place for the playoffs and the Patriots are in the Super Bowl. Other than that I guess theres not much to say really. It's still cold. I imagine it'll be cold next week when I write my next entry. This entry is really on time cause I'm droppin the bomb just after midnight. This way it'll be there for you early risers!! So good morning to you. You know who you are. So have a good week and I hope everything is just as you want it. If not don't come complaining to me, I only play music.

01/14/04
Well everyone the band will be taking a little hiatus! Due to the severity of the cold were gonna take some time off and spend some time writing and learning new songs so were ready for the spring. Were also hoping to go into the studio during this time and finish recording the new album. However, Joe G. and I will still be performing during this time as an acoustic duo. We'll also continue to do so after the hiatus as well. We'd like to be a little more diverse and reach out to certain places we couldn't with the band. As always, I'll be posting all the lastest news right here!! Every week!! So we'll see ya soon and we'll be posting some new acoustic shows shortly!!

More exciting news, this site has reached the 2000 mp3 mark this week. Woo hoo! That means over 2000 songs have been downloaded off the site since September 2002. 'Breathe' is actaully leading the pack with 353 dl's and 'The blue law' is just behind with 346 dl's. That kicks ass!!

01/07/04
Some late breaking news.... The pictures are up from Pinhead Susan's. Fantastic. Someone's got a bumper sticker on their arse. Haha. I'll be returning to SUNY Albany for my final class. I stopped going with one class left in 1997 for my bachelor degree. So I'll be graduating in the Spring and I cant remember anything I learned except what I'll learn this Spring. How funny is that?

Its a new year and a new day. Full of new experiences, like Valentine's on Saturday. I've got some new songs written but unfortunately they wont be ready for saturday.... but!! they'll be ready soon. Anywho, it's gettin cold and I love it. I just wish it would snow more. Seems I'm always makin good money when it snows. I've kicked off the new year with two weeks of complete sobriety and I've gotten a chance to re-focus. They'll be a lot of new and exciting things going forward and I hope youre all ready. As always, if it's gonna happen you'll hear about it here.... first!!
