Running time: 2 min. and 07 secs.
Song notes:
This was a song I had written in late 2001. All I can recall from that time was that I was learning some fingerpicking methods and I always wanted to write song with fingerpicking. Everything else that became of it was coincidental, unplanned if you will.
Production notes:
In the album notes I wrote that I wanted to include this song for this album because we were going into a full blown studio. The reason was that when this song picks up I always had pictured a string section coming in to beef up the song as opposed to a full band. So that's exactly what happened. I sang and played guitar at the same time, double tracked the voice for the Beatle effect and then layed down the string section I wrote for it. This was the quickest and easiest song I recorded. It's also a nice way to end the album I think.
Lyrics:
Baby, try to run away
Come on, try and get away
and I will get you to stay
and I will get you to stay
There's nothing I even want to say
There's nothing I really have to say
Pretty baby
Pretty baby
Baby, try to run away
Come on, try and get away
and I will get you to stay
and I will get you stay
Baby, yeah
Baby
Baby, I will
Wait, wait
Baby, try to run away
Come on, turn around and stay
